Islands, bodies of water, food and coffee with TB

13 – 19 Oct 2017

Travel plan this month was just to go around Singapore and some nearby islands with TB.

First Day was just Singapore River Cruise, Novena Church, Little India and Mustafa.

Second day was to Batam Island via Sindo Ferry in Harboufront Terminal.

(I took this package from Fave which included 2Days and 1Night stay in Harris Hotel, Ferry, land transfers, 1hour massage and a breakfast for $60 each.)

In Batam Island, we stayed at Harris Hotel Waterfront. After check-in, we decided to go for a taxi ride to the center and went to Nagoya Hill Mall. He shopped, we had our meal and donuts there. After a few hours of walking aimlessly outside and around the mall, we headed back to the hotel far away from everything, swam for a bit and had our 1 hour massage.

Third day, we went for breakfast, swam for a while, played basketball, trampoline, and walked around the hotel premises. Simple activities that I truly enjoyed a lot. Even meals were enjoyable. We ,then, checked out and headed back for our ride back to Singapore. He, unfortunately lost his ticket, hence, we needed to get him another one. This made him really sad. =(

In Singapore, we walked for a little while in Vivo City. For more fun, we watched Jackie Chan’s “The Foreigner”. We both like this kind of movies, thank God!. After the movie, we had dinner, took the MRT, stopped at Little India and, he continued on with his shopping spree there. It was a good night because the street was groomed ready for Deepavali ,hence, it was all busy, bright and colourful. We walked home after that.

Day four, he wanted to go back to Clarke Quay because he liked it the first time we walked there for the River Cruise. He had a beer there, then we walked towards Boat Quay then back to Clarke Quay. He said he was on training. Ok, fine.

We ,then, continued on walking towards, Bugis and Bugis Street for him to buy items for his friend. Walked a bit more to Arab Street where we had our Dinner at ZamZam. We had Murtabak. He’s pretty adventurous when it comes to food. I like that!

Day Five, we went for more island hopping. We took the ferry from Marina Bay Ferry Terminal to have a relaxing afternoon at St. John’s and Kusu Island. We just sat there, walked a little bit and we headed back to the mainland.

He wasn’t feeling well. We had coffee and popcorn in Raffles City Link Mall, went for a bit of workout in an outdoor gym near Balestier. We then had our dinner at Balestier Market. Unfortunately, I had to go for work the next day.

Day Six, we just had our drinks and small lunch at Clarke Quay (again!). He liked the place so much. Sadly, I had to send him to the airport after this.
