It’s a cultural thing: Something new for me from Morocco

Kasbah – homes made of clay and straw with 4 high walls, usually without windows. It is usually built on hills.

Tagine -North African dish named after the potware used to cook it. Available almost everywhere even in your Moroccan friend’s homes.

Toothpick– yeah these are toothpicks

Foot scrub– as seen everywhere! I initially thought it’s for cooking because it’s made of clay.OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

Riad traditional Moroccan house or palace with an interior garden or courtyard. Usually used as guesthouses nowadays.

Simplicity – I joined this walking tour and the guide said that Moroccan style of houses’ main theme is external simplicity. Outside, they all look the same and when you get in, that’s the only time you’d see the houses’ beauty. This is to prevent envy and negative energy from other people. I kind of like that concept.

Shukraan – Thank you in Arabic! =)
