With God’s most precious gift….my family back home.
A holiday of just a little over 24hrs, this is indeed my shortest holiday ever. I just wanted to get home to celebrate my 33th birthday with my family.
I decided that we should go to a beach in Batangas. I’ve heard so much about Laiya, but I haven’t been there until this weekend. We booked a big air conditioned room at Les Caraibes Resort. Price was ok considering that it’s beachfront. I think, we booked it for P4050 for three pax and a pet.
Travel time was approximately 4-6hours. We took a little longer because my dad didn’t really know how to get there yet. Anyway, we reached just in time for the check-in at 2pm.
The beach in Laiya, San Juan’s more pleasing to the eyes than in Nasugbo. Sand was white, less trashes lying around and the water was crystal clear. The community , I think, was also more concsious about the cleanliness of the surroundings because as we were enjoying, we saw a group of ,apparently doctors, who were picking up trashes along the shore. No wonder the place looked tidy.
Pa, barbecued a kilo of pork and we feasted that night. We also had an hour of full body massage. And we called it a night.
The next day, myself and pa woke up early to witness the sunrise and to have an early morning dip into the the beach. The view of the sunrise and the fishing community was stunning. Simple life, that’s what I want to have.
Time for us to pack up because we had to meet up with my dear sister in Manila before my flight back to Singapore. In MOA, we just had a simple lunch and we all went for foot spa and pedicure.
Suddenly, heavy rain started to cover the city. I was in fear that I would be late for my flight and so we rushed to the airport. Luckily, the traffic wasn’t so bad that day, hence I still reached too early for my flight that night.
That concluded my short but refreshing 24hr holiday. I miss them already.
