IELTS experience

29 Aug 2015

Of all days, I got sick a day before a supposed to be very busy weekend. I was supposed to have IELTS exam in the morning and a 10km run in the afternoon. I was thinking, should I still attend?

But of course, I still did. I endured the time limited, IELTS exam and the hottest run I’ve ever participated in my whole life, Orange Ribbon Run, despite not being well.

I tried a couple of practice tests during the past 2 weekends and I also attended the IELTS Insight workshop, which I think provided very useful tips in answering the questions, but despite these efforts, I still I think, I didn’t do very well with the Listening, Reading and Writing parts of the test. I felt that they were conducted really fast and crammed for my slow processimg style of working. I hope I would feel the same for Speaking too, which will happen next Tuesday. I want the speaking test to finish as soon as possible because I know for sure that I am not very good at talking to people who are not my patients. Oh well, we’ll see….
