She’s glancing at him amidst the terror of consequences
The more she tries not to, the heavier sadness engulfs her
Her emotions curtailed
Inspiration halted.
She seemingly abhor the feeling of endearment
Establishing to herself that this is mundane
Unremarkable, poignance-eliciting
Yearnings detained.
She skeptically tried to move forward
Considering to adhere to the sweetness
Yet petrified that sooner it’ll turn bitter in heat
Like a burned sugar,
Hated.
Caved and locked she thought would be the best
Formidable emotions difficult to control over
Precipitating insanity ignored
Idiosyncratic feelings admonished.
Desire of breaking the thin line
Getting inviolable, wanting to break free
Her love juxtaposed with hatred
Resentment that love though good, should be kept
To save what they have,
Displaced.
She accepted a love disguised,
Under the cloak of friendship.
