Selfish

Engulfed by the quicksand,

The earthworm tried to struggle to keep himself alive.

Mesmerized by the beauty,

The insect was swallowed by the captivating flower.

Thinking it was a rock,

The mosquito was captured by the tongue of the toad.

Submerged in a mire,

The woman couldn’t swim or move or survive.

Ram owned Sita, Sita owned Ram.

Without her, he is nothing, same way for her.

Self-preservation or sheer selfishness?
