Why in the world did we choose to go somewhere most reviews consider as among the more expensive cities?

 We were originally planning on an Eastern Europe trip, but we decided otherwise through drawlots.lol yes, during our friend’s birthday party, we made her pick our destination. From then, we started reading and planning because part of the list of requirements to obtain Visa for us, Filipinos, is to present our detailed itinerary. We had to come up with something despite we wanted our trip to be as spontaneous as possible. So here’s the plan;

 Singapore-Copenhagen-Oslo-Myrda-Flam-Gudvangen-Voss-Bergen-Stockholm-Helsinki-Copenhagen-Singapore

We were at Dubai airport, patiently waiting for our connecting flight. Emirates provided us with free meals because we had to wait for 7+ hours for our connecting flight, They would provide free meals if you have to wait for 4hours or more and free accommodation, if you have to wait for 8hours and more.

 While waiting, a man with dark complexion, together with his sons, passed by the restaurant we chose to redeem our free meal from, he dropped one stack of money. I ran after him and gave him back his money.  He just smiled and said thank you. Later on, I shall let you know why this story is even relevant.
