another calling heard…

Before the mass started, Leslie announced something about the nightly rosary. We all know that October is the Month of the Holy  Rosary. I  didn't pay much attention to him because I wasn't really planning to participate.

The holy mass went on as usual. After the mass, again, Leslie re-announced the need for volunteers to sing for tomorrow night's service because whoever's interested will have to stay back to practice a little while. When I was about to arise, carry my things and leave, I suddenly heard a familiar hymn. Our organist was playing my most favorite church hymn of all time. I stopped and sat back. HE didn't want me to leave.

In my mind, I said ok,  I surrender. I decided to stay and go for tomorrow's Rosary….

When HE wants you to do something for Him, He would really make you feel it.

Here's the lyrics of my favorite hymn;

O God You Searched Me

Verse 1
O God, You search me and You know me.
All my thoughts lie open to Your gaze.
When I walk or lie down You are before me:
Ever the maker and keeper of my days.
Verse 2
You know my resting and my rising.
You discern my purpose from afar,
And with love everlasting You besiege me:
In ev'ry moment of life or death, You are.
Verse 3
Before a word is on my tongue, Lord,
You have known its meaning through and through,
You are with me beyond my understanding:
God of my present, my past and future, too.
Verse 4
Although Your Spirit is upon me,
Still I search for shelter from Your light.
There is nowhere on earth I can escape You:
Even the darkness is radiant in Your sight.
Verse 5
For You created me and shaped me,
Gave me life within my mother's womb.
For the wonder of who I am I praise You:
Safe in Your hands, all creation is made new.

we sang this a while ago, The Galilee Song
